Texas Lawmakers File Bill to Block Longhorns From Leaving Big 12 for SEC

If my understanding is correct, the current special session can only consider issues previously identified by the governor in calling the session. In addition, the next regular session will begin on January 10, 2023 which would be a tad late to do anything regarding the proposed move of UT to the SEC. Of course, I could be wrong but, the Texas Legislative Library suggests that I am not (https://www.lrl.texas.gov/sessions/sessionYears.cfm) I guess those baylor lawyers must have missed the relevant class.

I'm actually a shrink, or was one before I retired some 16 years ago. This actually comes from my son but I found the Texas Legislative Library on my own. Being retired and living in a beautiful small town, I have the time to get into all kinds of trouble.

I will let my son know. He graduated from UT about 20 years ago and intensely dislikes the character of the people that run the pay boards.

Haha well I can't speak for those boards because I've been a member of any of them, but I can say this is a fresh community here.
